what are we dedicated to do

Making Autonomous Driving Safe

We develop and provide virtual agents with highly human-like behavior in road traffic simulations. The development is driven by a strategical cooperation with the company cogniBIT from Munich with exclusive know-how in traffic simulation and human behavioral modeling. The core of the virtual agent is a neurocognitive model, which models the microscopic steps of information processing and sensorimotor behavior of a human road user.

In traffic simulation, these agents are independently perceiving, thinking and acting individuals. They are given their own goals and preferences, personalities and cognitive characteristics. Their interactions are the fundation of a realistic closed-loop simulation of road traffic with high validity for development, optimization and assessment of automated driving systems.
